July 4th, 2010 - Sunday night the team traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway for the final leg of the Four Crown Nationals in what proved to be an extremely frustrating night. With 46 Super Late Models entered, Chad started the night by setting fast time in his group to start in the second position for the 40 lap, $2,000 to win feature. He would bolt to the lead at the drop of the green flag and would build as much as a straightaway lead in the first ten laps of the event as it appeared he was on his way to his second win of 2010. However, a series of cautions slowed the event near it's midway point, and on a lap 24 restart, the cars on the second row for the double file restart fired early. Much to his dismay Chad would get shuffled back to the third spot as the race remained green flag. He would go on to finish third in the event, and despite a post race protest of the restart, he would still just be credited with a disappointing third place finish.
